Any idea what mine that was? The "Ajax"? Which Ajax? Kind of an unusual arrangement the way that building is situated. It's obviously not a mill or a powder shack. It looks like it has two large deliberate openings in the roof and a vent pipe coming up through it. The fork in the track indicates that they were tramming ore muck to separate waste dumps and ore dumps, which indicates at least some degree of development beyond just a prospect hole. The banded sedimentary (?) rock could be the Belt formation, but it could be other places too. The ore car appears to be in backwards. It looks like an end-dump, but the dump end is inside. Hard to tell for sure, though. The picture must be post-war, but the whole scene looks older than that.
