This is way off topic, but I wanted to see if I am the only one that hears it. I just tried to purchase a used 12 year old horse trailer that was in good shape from a guy that was asking slightly higher than it was worth "in my eyes". I was $1k below his price of 6500, and he met me half way at 6k. I let him know I would think it over that night and give him a call. The very next morning "8:45 am" I called and said sure on the 6, but he returned with a response of "needing to talk with his wife about the offer", and that he would call me that evening with an answer. He never called, and when I emailed him two days later, he said he had just got an offer that morning for his full asking price. Suspect I was getting played, and I haven't responded.

So why is it people are asking the absolute most out of the stuff they have for sale, but when I sell something, they don't want to pay? The "whole haggle the price" is one thing, just don't insult each other, which is something I might have done on the horse trailer, even though he counter offered.

I just sold that old crawler that was next to the power wagon for just under a grand "to get it out of the yard". It was a running tractor with a blade "not on, but there". I had exactly 7 emails in a one day, after posting it on Craigslist, and the first guy that "had to come see it right away" wanted to haggle it to half the price, and wouldn't budge until I put it flat out to him that I had six other interested parties and wouldn't go off the reasonable asking price I posted. Then came the "will you deliver it for free"?

Take a look at the old tractor in a neighbors yard, that has been sitting there for 23+ years and is currently up to it's axles in dirt. One minute it wouldn't be worth anything to him but scrap metal prices, then the next minute after talking it over and showing interest, it becomes one of a kind and priceless. I just don't get it.

Anyone else having trouble?

P.S. Mechanical fuel pumps rule, when they work correctly.
