Using these U S Body Source parts in place of original cab, doors, and fenders is not as straight forward as you might imagine.

For instance - the doors need a complete steel internal skeleton fabricated in order to support all the window tracks, winders, door latch and lock componants, vent window assemblies, hinges and check rods. All you get is a basic fiberglass shell with maybe some wood or sheetmetal filler buried within for strengthening and to "mount to". There are no wellnuts, clips, places to attch clips, etc.

I was offered the job to take delivery of a complete fiberglass Power-Wagon body, and to figure out how to mount it all to a stock Power-Wagon frame, and then attach ALL the rest of the Power-Wagon componants needed to produce a complete truck whether they originally attached to sheetmetal or not.

The window tracks and the rest of the door hardware was going to be probably the hardest part. It was apparent that some original Power-Wagon parts were just not going to work and complete new ways were going to have to be developed to use parts from other cars or trucks.

I turned down the job as I had yet to work in a machine shop and did not at that time have all the skills or tools to do all the fabricating needed. I would have had to rely heavily upon machine shops to subcontract the work. I did, however, donate the use of my NOS rear fenders that they used for patterns, got nothing in return, and they screwed up the fenders they made. They were susposed to have both flanges and the buyer was to trim off the flange they did not need in order to create either a first series or a second/third series fender.
