318 Poly or Y Block

OK might be a dumb question but is a poly the same as a Y block? I have a chance to get a running 318 Y block that came out of a 1965 car for 150 bucks. I do have a need for it if if will fit into my 68 A100 van. The van has an auto trans. Are parts available for the Y block and whats the up and down side of the Y block
