I can tell you what we used many years ago on our SCBA masks before positive pressure masks were required. Someone, somewhere came up with some kind of liquid that seemed to keep them mostly clear. After the FD paid good $$ for the stuff and we had used it for a while I happened to smell it and it was nothing but rebottled dish soap. Of course we had all kinds of it so switched and worked just as well. I have the same trouble no matter what I'm doing which was steelhead fishing the last couple days and of course the weather was very nasty and my Polaroids fogged badly. I tried the soap again and it did help a lot but doesn't completely solve the problem. I don't remember exactly how we used it since it has been sooooo many years ago. It seems like we would smear a bit around the glass and let it dry before buffing it off. You might try it a couple ways. I know we didn't just let it sit and I will give it some more tries in the next several weeks myself.
