Just add a strong mixture of Prestone Rust and Scale inhibitor to the coolant. I add enough till the coolant is white. You can do brass or any of the coated water distribution tube and as long as you’re paying attention to maintenance of the cooling system, engine, and radiator will go a lot farther before needing service. If you still concerned, after everything is back together, use a ceramic cooling system sealer to coat everything.
