Was buying up cheap houses and re-selling them as mountain vacation retreats to city folks. Built himself a nice house too. Then he decided the junk in the neighbors' yards was hurting his property values and somehow got the county to start enforcing "codes" that nobody even knew existed. Then the guy's house caught fire and burned to the ground. He told me he was sure it was "those druggies" next door. The fire chief told him his microwave shorted out. Maybe it did.
