Nick and all,

I'm in the middle of replacing both side window and vent windows. I tried to make the channel from VPW work but it was way too tight. I took it down to the guy cutting my windows and he gave me what he called "cat whiskers". About the same thing as the fuzzy side of Velcro. So I cleaned up the old channels and used contact cement as the glass guy told me to use.
The key thing he told me was to coat both services with contact cement. Wait the 15 or so minutes the glue instructions say. But then spray both surfaces with window cleaner. This allow you to a line the felt inside that channel without it instantly sticking. Let the Windex dry (I did over night) and everything is stuck great. It really worked for me.
BTW, He charged me $120 to cut both windows, both vent windows, and the window rubber, cat whiskers.
Rich
