Out of State Purchases

I've found a nice M37 out of state but don't exactly know how to go about the purchase transaction. Although the pictures look good, I hate to send all the cash up front and hope for the best. Can anyone advise a safe process for the sale to get done, freight arranged, title transferred and both parties to be protected? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
