The only thing I can think to add is that if you have a winch, a good welding shop can lengthen the 230 winch frame extensions 2". Also you can use a piece of 3/8 x 2 x 2 angle to make the rear base angle for the winch. You can easily notch the steel 1/4" - 1/2" to accomodate the forward radiator, and it will be MUCH stronger than the piece of flat steel that was stock on the 251 winch models. The flat steel support contributed very little resistance against the winch shifting in relation to the frame during heavy winching, resulting in a bent front base angle, and bent or cracked side bearing support.

Depending on where you get your 251, you may have to replace the steel motor mount that sits just behind the timing chain cover. My 251 had been replaced before I bought it, and the engine sat about 1" too high in the front. The "instant" remedy was to bed the tips of the fan and bed the top of the radiator shroud so that the fan did not interfere. Dave Cirillo knows which mount should be there. I got mine from him. Thanks Dave!

Good Luck.
Greg
