Towed my WDX home with my '97 F150 4x4. It went OK. Tracked OK. Taking left turns was tricky. The main problem was speed - slow! The low gearing in the WDX kept the Ford at about 45 MPH, luckly I only had to drive across Albuquerque.
Got lots of looks.
