Remove or replace is the only solution for me. Rust never sleeps and I only want to do this once. After scaling the floor and sides there's only between 0-25% of the original steel left in much of the floor. My simple solution was to throw a 4X8 sheet of 1/2" plywood on the floor so I can at least use it while I am planning and getting supplies. I don't mind doing the work, I actually enjoy it. I am consideriing using 3/16 aluminum diamond plate for the 12" virticles and the front of the bed and oak for the floor. This change has me investigating further on how to fasten the mixture (steel supports, aluminum sides, wood floor) of components together. Thanks for the tip (I've never used the rhino stuff but have had good success with POR15 when the steel wasn't eroded too bad)!
