Frank, your observations on brakes are right on the money. My '54 (pictured in the above posting) had drums with the booster that was optional in '55 and stopped very well. The discs on my other truck were better only when the brakes were wet after stream crossing type situations. My discs use the original single master cylinder which makes me wonder how they would work with a booster. One point - brakes have to work harder with increased tire diameters which often have increased wheel and tire weight.

Brad, I sold the truck, but kept the Swampers to use on the WDX or the W300M.
