GOING FROM 16.5 RIM TO A 16 INCH RIM?

I presently have 16.5 rims on a '77 m880 (W200). Thinking about going to a more standard 16in rim. What types of factory rims are out there that would fit? Would like to find some take offs but want to know what models to look for. Any good reasons to stick with the 16.5" rims? I have the original military tires, they work great and I would try to find the same in 16" size if I change over.
