The 3 connector item is a voltatge regulator. It should be a standard item covering several model years. If it is not working correctly your fuel gauge and temp gauge would be incorrect. I believe it regulates the output to +5 volts. The indicator light coming on when you turn on the headlights could be a couple of things. #1 wrong bulb or bulb not seated correctly in the front or year turn signal. #2 a short in the wiring between the tail/parking circuit and the turn signal/stoplight circuit. #3 turnsignal switch (at the top of the steering colume) may be defective. You need to determine if your brake lights are working correctly and nothing else comes on with them. Next do the same thing with the right and left turn signals. Repeat the above with the headlights turned on and see if it makes any difference. Give these a try and post your results. With further info I may be able to help or I would be willing to give you a hand in person later in the week (after Thursday)
