The following information is from factory photos, personal observation, and consulting PW experts. Cowl lights were painted gloss black with chrome ring. Headlights were originally painted gloss black with black ring. The rings appear to have been chrome painted black. Chrysler may have left chrome rings unpainted in later years, but none of the factory photos I have observed have unpainted chrome rings. Most guys switch to chrome headlight rings when restoring a truck because that's what's available today and it matches the cowl light rings. Grill was body color. Finally, when observing trucks remember that paint schemes were typically altered, especially by fire departments and utility companies. Good Luck.
