Ok.. well. i missed any responses past what I responded too.. I have been gone getting a new (well, 98) 4 runner... next truck will hopefully be a cummings ram (MUCH better I think) but anyway.. now I know my tranny is shot.. and I am just thinking ifit is really worth it to keep this truck.. I mean, the tranny is shot.. and I could use alot of the parts on my 77 porject truck.. but I dunno.... o do kinda like it.. anyway.. if I decide to keep it.. what should I look for in a wrecking yard tranny?? i figure... if it is only $65 for the tranny.. it will cost me about $100 total including the new filter and fluid, etc... any ideas?? any little clues?/ while I have worked on engines, and stuff like that.. including rebuildingmy W-100 from the frame up, i have never had to pull an auto tranny.. or work on one.. any help from you guys?? thanks..
