R. Davis,
M. Davis here with a little more info on windshield frames.
I did mine up a year ago and as George said, the toughest part can be the large phillips head screws that hold the frame together.

Those screws do not screw into the frame; rather they go through the hole in the frame and they screw into a 2"x1/4"x1/4" metal bar that is tapped to accept the screws.
Two screws on each side of the frame joint hold the whole frame together.

Two larger machine screws hold the frame onto the hinges on each side behind the wiper motor covers. Then, you have two small screws on the bottom of the frame that attaches to the end of the crank tape.
I think these are brass. They did not take heat to well.

If your shield is cracked, use duct tape to keep it together and use it for a template to have new glass cut. Since it is straight glass, it should cost approximately $100.00
or less.

If you need a diagram, tell me and I will make a copy of my parts manual and send it to you.
I will also send you a photo of myself-maybe we are brothers!!! Who knows, we may end up on Oprah. People who were seperated at birth and love Power Wagons
Anyways, I hope this helps.
M. Davis
