I used a company from L.A to ship my B-4-PW (very heavy)Firetruck, something like American Auto shippers. Just did a web search and called 6 or 7 for best rates and phone interviews. Ended up with a $1k bill, a PW day after Xmas, and NO complaints. They picked it up at the FireStaion in Rhode Island Dec 12th & delivered it to my driveway ahead of schedule. Watching the carriers top rack flex, bend, and creak like an old house in a tornado while the PW was backing off... was pretty cool. Door to door service and not a scratch (that I could tell). I suggest shopping and selecting a carrier you feel comfortable with. Some of the prices are lower if they own & operate their own trucks, but not much. Worked for me. After viewing the forum since December... I would probably try one of the haulers that advertise on the forum next. Boy am I an optimist. Thanks!
