you can also go with larger tires to get more road speed. 11.00 16s would give you close to the same increase the 489s would. i have 489s and had bob stahl install them in my trucks. if i were to do it again, it would be 10.50 chevrons and stock gears. for my use a little extra road speed with less low end grunt loss would be ideal. imo, if you tires and gears on a stock engine, you lose a lot of low end and you must shift / downshift a lot.
