And that fixed the brake, and helped the clutch a lot. The clutch may now just be a little rod adjustment issue.

Seems the bolts that were shipped with the kit are a little short. Once I backed the nut out enough to let the pedal move freely, the locking portion of the nut no longer engaged the bolt. So I'll pick up a couple of longer bolts and swap them out.
