I am interested to see how this works out. Thanks for sharing. I took my 6 volt motor to the auto electric shop yesterday. They said it was not practical for them to convert. Probably extreme cost. So he tried calling around to see if he could locate a 12 volt battery with an auxiliary 6 volt post as had been suggested on Gordon's site. He struck out on that. He suggested what you are using, and I offered several had said it just didn't work. It seems like the best answer is either: 1. Use the $70 unit you found. 2. Use a small 6 volt battery solely for the wipers. This would have to be re-charged at home. 3. Use 2 6 volt batteries, in series to achieve the 12 volts needed for everything else, and pull 6 volts off of the first battery, as also suggested on Gordon's site. 4. Find a 12 volt motor (good luck)
