any chance you installed it wrong? Doesn't seem to me that you could have interference if it was set up correctly and if it is an accurately made part. on my command car, the box is centered left to right by two tabs extending forward from the dash opening. the bottom of the box is screwed into the bottom edge of the dash board. if you have a repro box, made to the specs of a 3/4 ton unit, you should have no issues. if you got some other box that 'should fit' that is your issue. i believe that midwest military repros these boxes and sells them at his site.
