Ditto to that, Doc Dave. My 1950 didn't have a title and it took some doing to get one after getting a surety bond, appraisal and more. I sent to my DMV before I paid for the truck and that helped greatly.
Then a supposed previous owner showed up saying the truck was stolen from him and he wanted it back. Still not sure if he plans to take me to court or not. But, I have the clear title and surety bond.
I emphasize that everyone CYA and do your due diligence when buying a truck without a clear title.
