What kind of steel do the repro 4.89s come in and can you get 5.83s also

Are they carbonized

I really think John cleaned out the chrysler depot of the last ring and pinions and the double bearings they make before they went into the no longer serviced mode

the last runs we got from the dealer the gears were black, fine thread , no cotter pin and a one time washer and lock nut
