ok so before i spent close to $200 on a rebuilt door latch i figured i would take the one i had apart and just look at it and see. So it took about 15 minutes to get it out- had to saw the door catch that bolts to the cab in two- no problem- unscrewed everything removed the lock and got the latch out- sat it on the bench turned down the tabs and took a grinder to the two rivets and viola found the problem- a broken piece in the mechanism, so got out the wire wheel, and with a little welding and grinding it is better than new then greased it really good and put everything back together and it function flawlessly.... that is what i got done today....
