I had a similar problem on some of my Cat gen sets. Ended up moving the fuel filters away from the cooling fan and getting rid of the water separator completely. We also use cetain power boost but I would also go to #1 fuel, not much difference to save allot of trouble. Our coldest working temperature so far has only been 30 below. On the trucks we circulate the engine hot water thru the fuel tanks and fuel filters eliminating gelling as long as we are running. Our biggest problem is air brakes freezing.
