bigger trucks have longer engines. I still say a waste of time on a flathead. they breathe fine with 3 ports. going to a 2 barrel or dual or triple carbs would let it breathe about as much as the design would ever handle. you only run 3200 rpms consistently and occasionaly rev up to 5K. all htat work to reverse the ports would not help unitl 6K rpms. which you will hopefully never see. overhead valve would be the biggest improvement to power. I would do that if I was to spend lots of time and money on crazy ideas.
