I don't think there's any other country where a crowd of thousands of people would turn out at night to watch an excavator climb a pole. The Germans simply love beautiful machines that work perfectly. The wonder is that they can build such good machines, while paying themselves good wages, and still sell them at a competitive price. You can see why the Germans have no patience for bailing out Greece.
