The VE is the rotary injection pump used on '89-'93 Dodges (and other Cummins applications)
You can see the top of the VE pump between the dipstick and the air intake tube in this 4bt photo.
They are good pumps for stock hp applications. You can turn them up, but it can shorten the service life of the pump.
