I made mine up from 7 remains, so ended up with 2 good ones. They are the same for both sides. I noticed different manufacturing methods for the buckets from '46 and the '71 M601. It appears the early buckets are pressed into shape, then the rim section formed, where the later ones appear to have been spun formed. Maybe it's just that the early dies were better. Anyway I have one on each side and they work and you have to look real close to pick the difference.
Maybe I mounted them upside down?? ;-)
