Paul - I have the priveledge of being at Pearl Harbor today working on Ford Island and as I write the crowds for today's ceremony are already building. On my flight from Dallas to Honolulu on Monday the pilot made a special announcemnt that Chief Gunners Mate Lonnie Cook, age 91 and one of six remaining survivors of the USS Arizona, was on board flying to Honolulu to attend the ceremony today at Ford Island. Well the plane erupted in applause and there was not a dry eye to be found! We also had a number of uniformed service folks on board and each and every one made a stop by Lonnie's seat to pay respect. It was something to behold. I plan on walking over to the Memorial for the ceremony later this AM with my crew to see firsthand just how special this piece of US history really is.
