The only thing I would add is when using the long boards once you have it close is to sand on 45 degrees working your way across. Then come back on the opposite 45 degrees.

After I had the metal as close as possible and the filler in if needed, I sprayed it all with Slick Sand. If you have never used it, it is one of the best things I've found they have come out with for final leveling. It's a 2 part mix and you have to have a big orfice to spray but man it does the job.

Fully cured in 24 hours and sands super easy. I applied the dry guide coat to it and it'll show ANY imperfections. I used 150 grit on it and after that I applied epoxy primer, then sanding primer. I was skeptical but after using it, I'll continue to do so. Kevin
