One of very few ambulances made in 1951 for the US Navy and Coast Guard.
9’ Body by Gerstenslager.
Factory rear frame extensions.
Original running gear and transfer case.

Somebody installed a Olds/GM 325ci engine and Torqueflite transmission.
Engine is bad.
The body has some rust out that can be patched.
The metal framework is in good shape.

I was going to build this into a vintage camper, but for the past few years it’s just been sitting outside with straw bales, being stored in the back.
This was a stop-gap vehicle between the WWII ambulances, and the M series of ambulances for the military.
