Whether I get a new cap from VPW or the local auto parts store, it would not match my paint color anymore, and at least I hoped that the auto parts store could provide one with a rubber gasket. Last time I ordered a cap from VPW (many years ago), it had a paper gasket inside, which did not seem to be very durable. I wanted to try a different route.
