Does that work with the new polyurethane paints? It drives me nuts to open up a can of paint that I used maybe 1/4 of a year ago and find that the whole thing has gelled. I hate polyurethane, but everything seems to be going that way. With regular oil/alkyd paint, if it skinned over, you could peel the skin off, thin it a little bit, and it would still be good. With the new stuff, if it's started to gel, and you thin it down, it will never dry. Basically you have to use all the paint the first time you open the can, or you might as well throw it out.

I looked at the bloxygen site and it helpfully says that all it is is an aerosol can of argon. It occurs to me that many of us have wire mig welders that use argon or some argon/co2 mixture. It seems like an easy matter to use that to purge the paint cans. Just turn off the wire feed, make sure the ground clip isn't touching the paint can, and give it a squirt.
