Mint to keep Rodents out of your Truck

A radio commercial for garbage bags with a mintg odor to keep rodents out of the bags is playing on the radio.

I was thinking that mint might work in my truck which stays on the farm. Better smell than mothballs.

Anyone ever hear of this technique or try using mint in their trucks?
