My 01 ctd has started to get a shudder under load, almost feels like axle wrap but it has started to do it while running empty too. Seems like it normally happens just after the 2-3 shift, but sometimes does it when it kicks back into overdrive. Nothing major, just about 3 quick shudders.
I'm thinking torque converter, but do you have to readjust the bands on these trannys periodically like the old 727? Anyone else have this issue.
The truck had a reman trans about 40k ago, and is probably due for a fluid/filter change now, but it currently does not look or smell burnt.
