Been using them for years . Lighter guage wire in a drill not an angle grinder . The ones made for angle grinders can cut into the metal . Ok for out side of the block but not head surfaces and such . Brass wire wheels work ok too . There are some just the right size for cleaning out ports .
The valve and grinding compound trick works quite well too . Do not weld on the valves that are hollow cored with the salt stuff in them . Boom ?
