Your drive to town will be fine. The drive to Anchorage will be........well less than arm chair comfort ha ha ha. The frost heaves will bounce you quite bad. Keep your seat belt tight (seriously). My Carryall rode rough. After my Labrador trip, I had new springs designed for the suspension. She now rides like a 3/4 ton pickup.

Your drive train combination will be fine. Highly recommend going to 4.89 ring and pinions in the 3rd members. My Cummins powered old iron with a B3.9 CPL 857, NV4500HD, NP-205, 4.89's and 36" tires will run any legal road speed in the US. I typically run 60 mpg which is a sweet spot for best MPG.

Take a good look at 1999/2000 Ford Exploder
Bucket seats. They fit the cabs well and are very comfortable. I have them in my Carryall and Carryall.
