Okay, but the carburetor is already set up for fording, and a maze of tubing connects it to everything that would normally be vented to the air. So, the purpose must be to actually pressurize the crankcase to keep out any water that might find its way in through the rear seal or some other route. Like I said I've never seen one before, even on M37s that appeared to be stock military and had the military PCV valve and air intake. I have a '52 Reo M35 gasser in my boneyard. I'll have to take a look and see if it has one.
