jack question

i know this has been asked before, but i couldn't find a ready answer in the archives. can anyone offer input as to a good jack to change a wc 3/4 ton dodge / ffpw tire on the road. need not be orig, but rather safe and effective. should be able to pack in the rear of the command car. what do you guys carry?
