... here's my half-dime's worth. I get flak here occasionally for modifications and ideas for others, but one of my absolute most hard-held beliefs is that putting a Generic Motors or Fjord part on a Dodge is pure blasphemy. Making a Chevy engine an option automatically has you off of my Christmess (yeah, that's how I spell it) list. Bragging about how great every facet of your product is makes you sound like a spokesperson who has never turned a wrench. If I had $140,000 to spend on a truck, I'd buy a nice one for $15k and get a factory '68 Hurst Dart with the rest. The only thing I see that makes your trucks in any way heavier-duty is the Dana differential swap. That anemic winch setup wouldn't stand a chance against my MU-5. A one- or two-off by your company would be enough. The last thing I want to see is a bunch of rich tightwads with no mechanical ability or true knowledge of our trucks flaunting around in bastardised versions of them. You would do a greater service to the "Legacy" of the Power Wagon by doing R&D and publishing the results or selling conversion parts that will benefit everyone, not just the wealthy; especially in light of the fact that Ray Suiter is basically calling it a day. If I seem to be rude, that's not my intent. However, it's a sentiment that others here probably agree with, to one extent or another.
