The easiest way with no design work on yor own is to go with Rays conversion kits for PS engine and brakes. There will not be any issues.
My WC53 had a Chevy 327 installed when I got it. It was well done and I left it. No reason to redo a transplant at that time. I have the original steering box and an aftermarket set of peddles. I changed the brakes to a hydroboost set up which is the best thing you can do.
Others brought up the issue of resale and staying Mopar. Do what you want. I have been offered multiple 10's of Ks cash on the spot for mine as modified with the 327 (one guy pulled the cash out of his pocket). I have been offered many thing in trade including a 48' boat that was immaculate (he must have been cash strapped and wanted to get rid of the boat). It is worth what the buyer is willing to pay.
