They didn't hesitate. The weight was within their limits so they didn't care what it was. They even delivered all four to the right address. Don't get me started on the rest of the USPS operations, though. Everybody likes their cushy union jobs, but that's the real reason the outfit is in trouble. Now they're going to close the Wallace post office -- really nice building built by one of FDR's make-work projects, and try to get some store to handle the mail functions. This makes sense in a lot of small towns, but Wallace is the county seat. Already the carriers are working out of Kellogg, which probably made sense to some bean-counter back in DC because on the map it's the most populous city in the county, even though it's not the commercial center and it doesn't have as nice of a post office.
