"Floating power"

I just discovered that on the plate behind the timing cover, underneath all the paint, dirt and grease, is stamped the words "FLOATING POWER". I thought maybe it was just one motor (from a boat?) so I checked several and they all say it. I'm assuming this is a good thing and I should be proud to own a floating power engine, but I'd still kind of like to know what it means. Any ideas?
