FWD made trucks from WW1 on through, all distinguished by permanent four wheel drive. very popular as the basis for all sorts of special duty trucks, pole setters, machinery trucks, bridge layers, etc, etc.

Lots of them, nice trucks. Britain bought a lot of them, mostly the forward control types. They tend to be heavy duty and anything restorable has to be worth having if it's cheap. I believe I saw in Crismon that they did trucks as light as 1 ton.
