Try this for first hand insight. Put your transfer case in neutral so the truck does not move. Block the wheels so the truck does not roll and release the parking brake. Start your engine and put the tranny in 1st gear so power goes out the back of the tranny. Now from outside of the truck, get on your hands and knees and look at the yoke on the rear of the transfer case drum brake to see if it turns. If not, then you now know why the rear farm implement shaft was never powered off the yoke on the back of the transfer case: because it won't operate when the truck is stationary and only operates when the truck is moving, not useful at all to power stationary farm equipment like a grain drill or buzz saw. Or ask yourself this: how can a farm implement rear PTO shaft be driven off the rear parking brake drum when the truck is stationary and parking brake is engaged to keep the truck from rolling?
