You are confusing the jeep rear PTO drive with the Power Wagon one. The Power Wagon two section tail shaft is driven by the rear stub of the PTO on the side of the transmission. It is supported by a hanger bearing under the bed. It exits at the [slightly off] center of the rear frame cross member through a pillow block and ends in a 6B spline shaft to drive farm equipment. There is no gear reduction box on the end of the PW tail shaft like there is on a jeep. I have some 1940s repro sales literature that briefly describes and has a diagram of this Power Wagon tail shaft to drive farm implements. "Power on the Farm" is $9.00 postpaid.
