I like the ford 2bbl-simpler than the holley, no vertical gaskets to leak,though it still has a power valve to blow out.I think the smallest one came on the pinto(not the progressive Holloey 5200)Re: adapter height-have you seen the dodge Ram(from the fifties)? 2 4bbls,one over each rocker cover on a V8, to get a ram air effect, great for low end.The longer, the better (up to 4 feet or so),you'll probly need some height to clear the accessories with the air cleaner.
